Xi Jinping: China, Hungary set fine example for new type of international relations
During his state visit to Hungary, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the strong and trusting relationship between China and Hungary, highlighting it as a model of new international relations characterized by mutual respect, fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation. Xi praised Hungary’s socioeconomic progress and expressed China’s support and joy for Hungary’s achievements. He recalled the historical ties between the two countries, noting Hungary’s early recognition of the People’s Republic of China and the subsequent development of a friendly and cooperative partnership, which was upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2017. Xi highlighted the frequent high-level exchanges, deepening mutual trust, fruitful Belt and Road cooperation, vibrant cultural exchanges, and close collaboration in international affairs between China and Hungary in recent years. He viewed the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries as an important opportunity for further bilateral growth and called for jointly outlining a new blueprint for cooperation. Xi expressed confidence that China and Hungary would continue to prioritize their relationship and contribute to global peace, stability, development, and prosperity through collaboration and mutual efforts.
