Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed China’s commitment to working with Africa to implement the Global Security Initiative and build a peaceful path to modernization. Speaking at a press conference with Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Wang emphasized Africa’s right to solve its own problems and pledged China’s support for African-led solutions. He also called for strengthened China-Nigeria ties to boost China-Africa cooperation and support Africa’s modernization efforts.
