Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China will continue to act responsibly and play a constructive role in easing Middle East tensions. During a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, both sides emphasized their commitment to strong China-Iran relations and cooperation. Araghchi expressed concern over escalating regional conflict and called for diplomacy. Wang reaffirmed China’s stance on resolving conflicts through dialogue and opposing military action. He also supported Iran’s mediation efforts, the Iran-Saudi reconciliation, and efforts to strengthen peace in the region through the China-Iran-Saudi Arabia Trilateral Joint Committee.
