Sweden defeated Japan 3-2 in the men’s team table tennis semifinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics and will face either China or France for gold. Sweden overcame a 2-0 deficit with victories from Kristian Karlsson and Truls Moregard in the singles matches. The final match saw Anton Kallberg rally from two games down to win against Tomokazu Harimoto, securing Sweden’s spot in the final.
Earlier, China advanced to the semifinals by beating South Korea 3-0. Ma Long and Wang Chuqin won the doubles match, and Fan Zhendong and Wang Chuqin secured singles victories to propel China into the semifinals against France.
