Singapore’s public sector emitted 3.6 million tonnes of CO₂ in FY2023, a 0.2% drop from FY2022, according to the “GreenGov.SG Report.” Electricity use rose by 1.5% to 5,449 GWh, while water use decreased by 0.4% to 33.4 billion liters. Waste production increased by 1.3% to 218.7 million kg due to higher post-COVID activity. The sector aims for net-zero emissions by 2045, ahead of the national 2050 target.
