Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah in Beirut killed at least 37 people, including 16 Hezbollah members, among them senior leaders Ibrahim Akil and Ahmed Wahbi. The strike, which leveled a residential building and damaged a nearby nursery, marked the deadliest attack in nearly a year of conflict. Cross-border strikes between Israel and Hezbollah continued, with Israel hitting 180 targets and Hezbollah retaliating with rocket attacks. The conflict has displaced tens of thousands on both sides of the border, with Lebanon’s death toll surpassing 740 since October. Despite calls for de-escalation, tensions remain high.
