Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, met with Aigul Japarova, wife of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, in Beijing for tea during Japarova’s visit to China for the Spring Festival. Peng emphasized the importance of China-Kyrgyzstan friendship and cultural exchanges, hoping for stronger people-to-people ties. She also praised Japarova’s dedication to social welfare and expressed interest in cooperation on protecting women, children, and vulnerable groups. Japarova extended New Year greetings, praised China’s development, and pledged to promote bilateral exchanges and friendship.
