Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said on Tuesday that 16 people from Michigan have been charged with serious crimes. They are accused of being part of a plan to cheat in the 2020 U.S. election to help Donald Trump, who was the President at that time, win even though he had lost.
These 16 individuals, who are all Republicans, are believed to have sent in fake electoral votes with the goal of changing the outcome of the presidential election in Michigan. They wanted to make Trump the winner instead of Joe Biden, who is a Democrat.
