Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin at Pyongyang International Airport, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Wednesday. The meeting marked a warm reception, with Kim shaking hands and embracing Putin upon his arrival. Kim expressed happiness at meeting Putin again after their previous encounter at the Vostochny Spaceport about 270 days ago. Putin, in turn, thanked Kim for his hospitality at the airport.
Following the initial greeting, the leaders engaged in a friendly conversation upon reaching their accommodations at the Kumsusan State Guest House. The KCNA emphasized the significance of Putin’s visit in strengthening and advancing the strategic and forward-looking development of North Korea-Russia relations.
