The gala’s topics amassed 2.99 billion views, contributing to 140 top search topics. The cross-media live broadcast engaged 353 million people, with 184 million views on new media platforms and 169 million views on television, all surpassing last year’s figures. The cultural performances, including traditional opera and lantern riddles, captured global attention. CGTN published 1,210 stories in 68 languages, receiving 170 million worldwide views. Since its debut in 1985, the Lantern Festival Gala has been a cherished part of Chinese New Year celebrations.
