Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Special Envoy, Jiang Zuojun, attended the state funeral of the late Namibian President Hage Geingob in Windhoek. Jiang delivered a speech at the mourning event and met with Namibia’s new President Nangolo Mbumba. During the meeting, Jiang conveyed President Xi’s greetings, expressed condolences for President Geingob’s death, and extended sympathy to Namibia. Jiang highlighted the strong traditional friendship and bilateral cooperation between China and Namibia, expressing China’s commitment to deepening political mutual trust and friendly cooperation. President Mbumba thanked President Xi for the condolences, expressing Namibia’s willingness to collaborate with China in various fields for the benefit of both nations and their peoples.
