Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Switzerland for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and an official visit, marking his first overseas trip in 2024. He highlighted the positive growth in China-Switzerland relations over 74 years, especially since the establishment of a strategic partnership in 2016. Li expressed China’s readiness to collaborate closely with Switzerland in addressing global challenges and emphasized the importance of Switzerland’s unique role in Europe and on the international stage. The premier also mentioned that in 2023, Europe was his first destination for overseas visits after assuming office.
