According to Thai police, Chinese actor Wang Xing, reported missing near the Thailand-Myanmar border, has been confirmed as a victim of human trafficking. Wang was lured from China by a false acting job offer in Thailand and ended up in a “neighboring country.” Rescued on Tuesday, he is now under Thai authorities’ protection and will be sent back to China within one to two days, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy. The case has sparked widespread concern in both China and Thailand.
