The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, China’s top political advisory body, ended its annual session on Monday. The meeting emphasized unity and working together to modernize China.
President Xi Jinping and other leaders attended the session at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
During the meeting, officials approved several resolutions, including reports on past proposals and future plans. Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC, led the closing meeting and delivered a speech.
Wang praised China’s progress in economic and social development under Xi Jinping’s leadership. He encouraged political advisors to continue their role in political consultation and state affairs. He also stressed the importance of unity, reform, and improving people’s well-being.
Wang emphasized that the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is crucial for maintaining national strength and confidence. He urged the CPPCC to strengthen democracy and cooperation while promoting social harmony.
