A ceremony was held in Pyongyang to mark the 73rd anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV) entering the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) during the Korean War. Representatives from both countries, including Kang Yun Sok and Chinese Ambassador Wang Yajun, attended. Wreaths were laid at the Friendship Tower with ribbons bearing messages honoring the CPV martyrs. Kang praised the CPV’s historic role in the Korean War, emphasizing their immense sacrifice. Ambassador Wang highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between China and the DPRK, forged through shared struggles. He expressed confidence in the enduring friendship and further strengthening of bilateral ties. Similar ceremonies took place at CPV cemeteries in different DPRK locations. DPRK newspapers also dedicated articles to this special occasion.
