Extreme marathon runner Russ Cook completed his remarkable journey across the entire length of Africa, covering 16 countries over 352 days. Starting from South Africa’s L’Agulhas last April, he traversed over 16,000 kilometers along the continent’s west coast, facing challenges like being robbed at gunpoint and suffering from food poisoning. Cook, also known as the “Hardest Geezer,” became the first person ever to achieve this feat. Along the way, he raised over half a million pounds for charity. Accompanied by supporters on the final leg of his journey in Tunisia, Cook celebrated his accomplishment, expressing his exhaustion and enjoying a well-deserved strawberry daiquiri.
