Airbus reported record annual jet orders with 2,319 gross orders and 2,094 net orders after cancellations in 2023. The company confirmed an 11% rise in deliveries, maintaining its top manufacturing position against Boeing for the fifth consecutive year. Airbus delivered 735 airplanes, leaving its order backlog at 8,598. The CEO expressed confidence in meeting the target of 75 A320 jets per month in 2026, despite ongoing supply chain challenges. In comparison, Boeing delivered 528 aircraft in 2023 and booked 1,314 net new orders. Demand for wide-body jets is rebounding, signaling a recovery in the aviation industry.
