3 killed, 10 wounded in mass shooting outside a grocery store in Arkansas

A mass shooting outside a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas, resulted in three deaths and ten injuries on Friday, according to state police. Among the injured were two law enforcement officers, with injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to critical. The shooter was critically injured by police and taken into custody. Special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ New Orleans field office were dispatched to assist. Fordyce, a city of 3,400 people, is 70 miles south of Little Rock. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders praised law enforcement and first responders for their actions. This incident marks the 234th mass shooting in the U.S. this year, each involving at least four casualties, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
