A fire broke out in a 12-story building near Nishi-shinjuku subway station in Tokyo’s Shinjuku area, resulting in the destruction of approximately 50 square meters on the third and fourth floors. The incident occurred on Thursday, with the Tokyo Fire Department receiving a report around 4:20 p.m. local time. Eleven individuals suffered injuries due to smoke inhalation. The fire, which started in one room, was extinguished after approximately two hours. Authorities, including the Metropolitan Police Department, are investigating the cause of the accident.
