Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will visit China from January 14 to 17, marking his first trip there since taking office. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman Zhao Leji will meet with him. The visit aims to strengthen China-Sri Lanka ties, which have remained strong since 1957, and promote Belt and Road cooperation and mutual development, according to China’s Foreign Ministry.
