Nvidia has announced the “Jetson Orin Nano Super,” an upgraded entry-level AI developer board. While it uses the same hardware as the 2022 Jetson Orin Nano, a software upgrade boosts performance by 70%, from 40 TOPS to 67 TOPS. The upgrade is also available for the original model. Priced at $249, it’s significantly cheaper than its $499 predecessor. Despite being called a “compact generative AI supercomputer,” its performance is modest compared to gaming laptops and high-end supercomputers.
