Chinese President Xi Jinping and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met in Brasilia on Wednesday, where they signed agreements and discussed strengthening China-Brazil relations. Both leaders agreed to elevate their ties to a “China-Brazil community with a shared future,” emphasizing mutual support on issues like sovereignty, security, and development. They also planned to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, finance, science and technology, infrastructure, environmental protection, and emerging fields like energy transition, digital economy, and AI. The leaders committed to working closely in multilateral forums like the UN, G20, and BRICS to address global challenges such as hunger, poverty, climate change, and cyber security.
