Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Russia in emerging sectors while reinforcing traditional collaborations during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting followed the 29th regular session between Chinese and Russian leaders, co-chaired by Li and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Li conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s greetings to Putin and highlighted the deepening of China-Russia relations, especially as they mark 75 years of diplomatic ties. He stressed that this partnership benefits both nations and contributes to global peace and stability. Li also emphasized the potential for cooperation in science, technology, and industry to drive new economic growth.
Li called for deeper cultural, educational, and youth exchanges to strengthen the long-term friendship between China and Russia. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to working with Russia on multilateral coordination and supporting a multipolar world.
Putin praised the strong ties between the two countries and their successful agreements. He expressed Russia’s willingness to enhance cooperation, expand cultural exchanges, and strengthen collaboration within frameworks like BRICS.
