Wang Yi: Britain should have correct understanding of China

Emphasizing the mutual development opportunities between the two nations, Wang highlighted their responsibilities as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for maintaining international peace. He underscored that the steady development of bilateral relations is crucial for the long-term interests of both peoples and has global significance for promoting world peace and prosperity. Wang reaffirmed China’s commitment to peaceful development, multilateralism, opposition to unilateral bullying, support for free trade, and opposition to protectionism. He emphasized China’s role as a growing force for world peace. Cameron acknowledged the importance of engagement and cooperation between the two countries in addressing global challenges.
