Yangon ICT Fair 2018, held at Tatmadaw Hall, Yangon

The people in Yangon were introduced with another edition of Yangon ICT Fair. It was jointly organized by the cooperation between Yangon Region Computer Professionals Association (MCPA) and Myanmar Computer Industry Association (MCIA), which took place from the 5th of October to 7th of October at Tamadaw Hall.

There were altogether one hundred and fifty eight booths being displayed related to Information Technology (IT) products and for companies, over fifty companies were presented.

For the opening ceremony of the Yangon ICT Fair, honorable guests such as U Tin Maung Tun , Speaker  of Yangon Region Hluttaw, U Lin Naing Myint, Deputy Speaker of Yangon Region Hluttaw, Daw Hlaing Maw Oo from Yangon City Development Center, U Myint Swe, Consultant for E-Government and other officials attended in the early morning of October 5th.

U Aung Soe Moe, President of Yangon Region Computer Professionals Association  (MCPA) said they are very proud to exhibit this kind of one-stop service of computer fair to the public of Yangon, “ Our main purpose is to promote ICT industry and to introduce the new technology trends to citizens of Myanmar. In this fair, there are several kinds of IT related products and solutions including networks and telecom solution products, security solution, software solution, computer and mobile accessories. We have special promotion and special discounts within these 3 days. ”

The Yangon ICT Fair holds always twice a year. U Aung Soe Moe said he is very pleased and proud to contribute such an event to the people of Myanmar. It was such an opportunity for the Myanmar people to expose to this kind of IT products, solutions, networks and equipment.

Dr. Kyaw Moe Min, associate professor and head of department of computer department at National Management Degree College explained that as an educator, he is really pleased to be attending as a special guest for the event and observe all the development process of IT in Myanmar. During the tour, the product that attracts him most is the image detection, he said, which can search people for any purposes such as security, crime, etc.

Mr. Min Zaw Aung from Myanmar Imperial College suggested that it is a great event for IT development of Myanmar, so he wants it to hold more frequently in the future, while Mr. Nay Htoot Aung Min and Miss. Eaint Lai Than Thar from National Management Degree College said that they are really interested in digital technology as young people.
