China Media Group (CMG) will cooperate with media organizations from ASEAN member nations to ensure multi-channel and in-depth exchanges across the board using advanced technology of “5G+4K/ 8K+AI” said Yan Xiaoming, vice president of CMG at the 2022 ASEAN Media Partners Forum in Nanning City of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Thursday.
The forum is hosted by China’s state-owned media CMG and co-hosted by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with the theme of “Intelligence, Collaboration, and Cohesion”. Yan said at the forum that CMG is ready to fulfill the missions of the times together with its ASEAN counterparts as responsible media.
"This year marks the beginning of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership. We stand ready to work with our ASEAN counterparts to undertake the missions of the times as responsible media, give full play to our advantages in international communication through international broadcasting in 44 languages, CGTN's media convergence center, multi-language influencer studios, CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) and overseas correspondent stations, further pool wisdom and strength for development, and contribute to cooperation featuring joint construction, shared benefits, and win-win results," he said.
Nearly 180 guests from over 70 media outlets in 17 countries attended the forum. The goal is to push forward exchange and cooperation between Chinese and ASEAN media in multiple dimensions and in greater depths, forming a tight-knit China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
China and ASEAN jointly announced in November last year to elevate their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
