Citizens to get strong health messaging due to the rise of infections in UK

13 July 2022
According to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics, an estimated 2.71 million people in the UK had Covid in the last week of June. In England alone, the most recent figures suggest about one in 25 people had a Covid infection.
In a report from the Guardians, all the hospitals in the UK are crowded with new covid patients while the old patients from the last three waves are still under care. The significant rise in covid infections causes the medical staff to work over the limit and some are afraid that it would not be long enough until many of medical staff get tired and hospitals face the shortage problems.
Many believed that the rise in infection rate is affected by changes in policy around testing of patients and mask wearing in hospitals. The medical staff suggest to inform the citizens about the risk of covids and give strong messages and policies to prevent the rise of covid infection rate in the future.
