China donates 70 Notebooks and PCs to the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar

The delegation from the People’s Republic of China handed over 70 notebooks andpersonal computers to the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar for office use. The hand-over ceremony was held at the Assembly Hall of the office of the Supreme Court of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw on earlier today.
 
The ceremony was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E Mr Chen Hai andembassy officials, the Chief Justice of the Union Supreme Court U Htun Htun Oo and Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, Permanent Secretaries and seniorofficials.
 
During his remark at the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Chen Haisaid, ‘The Supreme Court of the Union plays a crucial role in the steadytransition of the country’s political system. To further strengthen bilateral relation between two countries, we are going tocollaborate with the Supreme Courtof the Union as possible as we can. We will alsohelp with the necessary processes of the Supreme Court. Moreover, the Embassy of China will also continue to make efforts to enhance cooperation between the Departments of Justice. As 2020 will be 70thyear sinceChina and Myanmar established diplomatic relations, the People’s Republic of China intendsto promote bilateral cooperation not only with the Supreme Court of the Union but also in othermulti sectors. In this way, we believe, it can strengthen our friendship as well as economic cooperation’.
 
And the Chief Justice of the Union Supreme Court U Htun Htun Oo also expressed his appreciation at the ceremony, 'Under the Supreme Court of the Union, there are 14 State/Region Courts, 74 District Courts and 330 Township Courts, with a total of 1317 judges.Despiteall our necessary support oftechnical equipment to all courts, it is not enough to fulfill their requirements due to the insufficient budget. This kind of donation, the donation of computers and accessory equipment is of great help as well as effective contributionto the judicial accomplishments. We greatly appreciate your contribution.’
 
It was followed by handing over of notebooks and personal computersand presenting the certificate of honor to the Chinese delegation.
